Achieve your Goals with a Personal Trainer
Personal training is available in our gym. If you are interested in weight loss, feeling fitter, achieving your health and fitness goals, through enjoyment, motivation and great results simply booking consultation with your chosen personal trainer and get started on your own road to successful training.
Whether your goal is Personal Training is the most focused way to achieve it. It can get you there faster, safer and be more enjoyable and you will soon see that it helps you adjust your lifestyle to make those physical changes stick. In addition, because your exercise programme is made especially for you, you will feel every ounce of sweat in the gym is well spent.
If you are a beginner, it is a great introduction to the gym and it will soon boost your knowledge and confidence. For the more experienced gym user, a personal training session will help take you to a higher level of fitness. You will see the physical results quicker when you are working out with your trainer and this will help motivate you to stick with it. You are much less likely to skip a gym visit if you have a PT appointment too!

What is a Personal Trainer?
Personal trainer`s job is to assess your fitness level, set up a program for you and keep you motivated. He or she will push you past your comfort level - something difficult to do on your own. A trainer also provides:
  • Guidance on reaching your goals
  • Education about strength training, cardio and basic nutrition
  • A reason to show up at the gym each week
  • Ways to help track your progress

Benefits of Personal Training

  • Personal trainers can help anyone regardless of physical condition or age.
  • Decide and work on your own specific goals, i.e. lose weight, get fit, bulk up.
  • Customise a program to fit your own personal needs and schedule.
  • Provide support and motivation to stick to your program, which is designed to meet your expectations and objectives whilst fitting around your personal commitments and lifestyle.
  • Build up your self-confidence.
  • Provide you with personal one-to-one attention.
  • Understanding principles of exercise and nutrition.
  • Motivation to enjoy exercise through training sessions.
  • GET YOU THE RESULTS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!

So why have a personal trainer?
People train for a variety of reasons, it could be to lose weight, change body shape, prepare for a wedding or holiday, or via a doctor (GP) referral, the list is extensive. Hiring a personal trainer means clients get regular, dedicated time with their trainer, and are completely focussed on their own personal health and fitness objectives.
Motivation is a big issue with exercise and over 95% of gym memberships eventually fall because of the lack of this very important element - not great value for money. Having a personal trainer means, you cannot shirk out of your exercise session in favour of the sofa. Still, you'll need to put the effort in yourself - a personal trainer isn't a magic method and you won't turn into Top Models overnight, so keep your expectations realistic.

What is a Session with Personal Trainer Like?
Each session lasts about an hour. The first meeting is devoted to assessing fitness level, exercise and health history and goals. After that, you'll spend most of your time on strength training and cardio. Personal Training sessions are usually start with some form of cardio / pulse raising work, such as walking, jogging, sprinting, circuit training etc. There is then strength and conditioning work, using free weights, cable machines, and resistance machines. Before finishing, a warm down and stretching. Sessions are progressive and interesting, so your body never gets in a comfort zone.

Outside of Personal Training Sessions
Activities will be set for you to undertake when you are not training with PT, this could be once or twice a week and could range from a 30-minute brisk walk or a detailed 1 hour gym routine, depending on time available. In an ideal world, you need to be training at least 3 or 4 times a week to achieve your goals.

  Start with Personal Training
The first steps to getting your personal training started are to book the 30-minute consultation with one of our trainers to discuss your goals.
